When Gregory Silvestro isn’t helping buyers and sellers make their dreams of homeownership come true, he’s helping the local community become fitter and healthier as the owner of Snap Fitness in Westchase.
"The fitness industry is growing and strong,” replied Silvestro when asked why he opened Snap Fitness. “And I saw a need here in Tampa to bring fitness and health options to the people living here.”
Greg’s Fitness Advice
We asked Greg for his advice on fitness and exercise. His no-nonsense approach makes excellent sense.
“Slow and steady wins the race with fitness. Rapid weight loss will lead to rapid weight gain and the yo-yo effect. The body takes many months to change and adapt. Once the body does eventually change, though, it will stay constant and you can keep weight off. We tell people they need one year of a consistent fitness routine in order for their body to truly change its composition.”
There are no quick fixes but you don’t have to slave away at the gym to see results. Greg says a good workout can be as short as 30 minutes: 15 minutes of intense strength training with 30 second rests between sets and 15 minutes of a cardiovascular workout.
