Here are some thoughts on just a few of the amazing golf courses in and around Tampa. This list is just a taste of what the area offers, though.
In 2015, 11 Tampa Bay golf courses were named in Golf Digest’s “Florida’s Top 75.” Look around, and you’ll find at least one course you absolutely love, no matter where you are in the Tampa Bay area.

When we want to play a world-class round of golf just a short drive from Tampa? STREAMSONG RESORT is it. Getting away without the hassle of packing for and planning a full vacation.
Streamsong offers two award-winning courses, one designed by world-renowned golf architects - Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw and the second designed by Tom Doak of Renaissance Golf Design.
The courses show off the beauty of Florida and were designed to be walked so you can have that unique to golf experience. Walking with caddy or riding with a fore-caddy, Streamsong is a wonderful addition to the Tampa golf landscape. Those of us in Tampa are excited that a third course is scheduled to open up in 2017.
As a destination Streamsong is second to none. The 216 room RESORT style Lodge, includes, a grotto-style full service spa, terrific restaurants, and amazing rooms. 30 minutes from the Tampa International Airport, Streemsong is perfect for a mid week or weekend get-away too.

WORLD WOODS is my personal favorite. Top 100 Golf Courses, World's Most Beautiful Courses, and one of the Top 5 Public Courses in Florida - these are just some of the accolades for the World Woods courses.
Best of all, there are two to choose from: Pine Barrens and Rolling Oaks. Head north out of Tampa to Brooksville to experience some of the best golf of your life. Once you're there, it's golf and nothing else. Not a house or road for the entire 36 holes. Just golf. GREAT GOLF.
The practice facilities alone are enough reason to make the 30 minute ride from Tampa. Expansive driving, chipping and putting area's are complemented by a par 3, par 4, and par 5 hole, that you can warm up on. For the "pure" golfing experience, World Woods can't be topped, anywhere.

Head out of Tampa into Palm Harbor for one of the most beautiful rounds of golf you can imagine. You’ll find it at Innisbrook. The golf club is famous for the Copperhead Course, one of the most challenging on the PGA Tour. Copperhead is the home of the VALSPAR CHAMPIONSHIP on the PGA Tour. Watch out for the “Snake Pit” at holes 16, 17, and 18. Innisbrook is the home of not just Copperhead, but 5 WORLD RENOWNED COURSES. Voted one of the Best Resort Destinations in America, Innisbrook has something for everyone.
The COPPERHEAD COURSE at Innisbrook has also been the home of the QUANTUM LEAP FARM ANNUAL GOLF TOURNAMENT, for the past 5 years. A local charity, near and dear to all of us at My Tampa Agent and the Tampa Area.
Avila Golf and Country Club

Avila is an exclusive community, which means Avila Golf and Country Club is exclusive, too. The course was designed by Jack Nicklaus so it should come as no surprise that it’s a challenging one, too. It’s a private course, but that doesn’t mean you can’t play on it. They offer member-sponsored events on select Mondays.
Westchase Golf Club
Westchase Golf Club is another great course, golfers at any stage should check out. And it's MY home course. The place where my personal "golf therapy" takes place on most Sunday mornings. Westchase is a public, family friendly course, with multiple Men's leagues, children's programs, High School Tournaments and one of the busiest courses in the area for charity tournaments. The National Golf Foundation has ranked it number one for customer loyalty and satisfaction. Those of us who golf here know exactly how great - and beautiful - it is.
Westchase isn't the only community course in Tampa, there are plenty. Whether you live here, thinking about living here or just planning a visit, TAMPA GOLF is as GOOD as anywhere.
